About Us

Welcome to Bethesda Fire Department, Inc.

BFD Built and Maintains Bethesda's Fire Stations

We are your neighborhood fire department. Once all volunteer, now your dedicated  Montgomery County Fire and Rescue professionals respond every time you dial 911. Our volunteer board of directors provides day-to-day support for Fire & Rescue Service's operations.

The Bethesda Fire Department's mission is to prevent loss of life and property through community education and service since 1926.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services firefighters, all certified Emergency Medical Technicians, arrive first and ready at Bethesda homes and businesses for emergency rescue and fire calls. Meanwhile, BFD needs your tax deductible contribution to keep facilities in peak condition and to educate homeowners, apartment dwellers, business people and children of all ages about fire prevention.
